Adrianna Gentile

My work combines different mediums like watercolor, acrylic, ebony pencils, clay and glazes. I work on things that I find pleasing to my eye and things that I find beautiful. I have many pieces that show movement through dancers and other pieces that have interesting skies. I also like to just play around with clay and create random pieces. The colors vary in my work, I work in greyscale, some have splashes of color added in and some are mainly colored with pops of black and white. This adds to the artwork's meaning by adding life and different views to pieces. I start with pictures of real-life things and then I add things from my imagination as I go on with making the work. I like to experiment with different mediums that I believe could work well with the piece and elevate it to new heights.When I draw the sky it is a way for me to let go and relax as it is more forgiving and colorful. I like to draw dancers as most of my time is spent dancing and around that form of art. When I draw dancers I will find ballerinas on the internet or I take my own pictures doing my lyrical solos or other photoshoots I have done.
