Artist Statement

I like to work with multiple different mediums. I use a range of different fabrics all that are flowy or lightweight, with light colors, often shades of blue and floral patterns. I use these because I like my work to have a soft and feminine feel. I also like to do fashion illustrations of pieces I want to make in the future. For illustrations I use watercolor to make the fabric, and colored pens for the outline and small details. I use different materials like clay or metal to design jewelry. All of my work is different from each other, but all have the same feminine theme.  Many of my pieces come from old or thrifted clothes, and I upcycle them. I do this because taking an old, no longer worn garment and giving it a new life is something I love to do.
