Nature Jewelry

Art for me is a meditative and personal process, where my work becomes a form of calming and focusing on myself and my needs. I create art that allows my hands to stay active while my mind is free to wander. The creative process is a space for reflection and quiet focus. Art is less about a finished product and more about the experience of creating and how it makes me feel. It's an opportunity to slow down, explore materials, and find peace through repetition and movement. I am drawn to hands-on materials such as wire, clay, and yarn. These mediums allow me to shape and construct objects, whether through jewelry-making, sculptural forms, or woven bracelets. Working directly with these materials makes me feel more connected to my art through the process itself. I feel a large sense of accomplishment making something that takes up space in my life. The physical nature of these materials reinforces the grounding and calming qualities that are essential to me. Creating art can also be challenging. At times it pushes me to learn new skills and experience a sense of accomplishment. Other times it provides a quiet, almost meditative activity that allows my mind to reset. Through this balance, art becomes a way to process the world around me while focusing on myself and grounding myself. I am inspired by artists who prioritize themselves over the validation of others in their community. Artists who create without concern for judgement or reward demonstrate the power of art as a personal act. Their commitment to themselves inspires me to make work that is honest to myself. It is forgiving and meaningful because I am the only one I’m trying to impress. Much of my inspiration comes from the details of my everyday life. My hobbies, the people I care about, the things that bring me joy, and the goals that shape my future are what drive my art. These personal influences naturally find their way into my work. They give me ideas of what to create or motivate me to engage in something new. Each piece has a sense of familiarity and connection while also being unique in meaning and purpose. I see art continuing as a personal practice rather than a professional pursuit. It will remain a space where I can step away from the demands of daily life, express myself freely, and create objects that bring me a sense of fulfillment and happiness.
